Job summary

A growing bakery company in New Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will coordinate activities to mass-produce bread and other dough products, supervise workers, and ensure quality control standards are met. Successful applicants will have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing and must be bilingual in Spanish. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise activities of workers assembling dough products.
  • Train and lead new employees on the production line.
  • Ensure compliance with established production KPIs.
  • Assigns tasks according to work schedules and assigns breaks and lunch periods.
  • Meet or surpass the set quota for all high labor bread items as set by the company.
  • Know all emergency stops on all lines.
  • Record freezer temperatures at different intervals in conformance to specifications.
  • Remove samples at different intervals for quality control inspection.
  • Visually inspect product for open seams and place downward in preparation for entry into freezer.
  • Identify inconsistencies and address them with the line operator to fix the problem.
  • Suggest changes in the production schedule to increase production throughput.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Train and lead new employees on the production line according to company specifications.
  • Identify ways to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Alert Production Shift Manager of complications and situations that may arise.
  • Maintain time and production records and daily activity reports.
  • Report on downtime and scrap accumulation and ensure correct disposition of scrap.
  • Be familiar with end‑of‑run marker procedure and coordinate product markers and paperwork.
  • Ensure machines are adjusted as needed for production.
  • Assist machine operators in replacing metal plates as job changes occur.
  • Fill automatic dispensers with ingredients to ensure even distribution as product moves along the line.
  • Separate product and place in line formation.
  • Identify and report any machine malfunctions.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise others to generate expected results.
  • Review safety issues with Shift Assistant Manager and Director of Manufacturing.
  • Interface with Quality Control to maintain product quality standards.
  • Review and interpret production KPIs with the Production Superintendent and Director of Manufacturing regarding scrap and waste.
  • Write analyses and reviews of employees supervised.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

We are searching for a motivated & experienced Production Supervisor.

The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises activities of workers that assemble dough products to mass‑produce bread and sheeted items by performing the following duties.
