PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY:

The Shift Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership of production and material handling operations and supervising assigned team members. The Shift Manager should be dedicated to creating a safe environment where team members understand and observe the company’s values.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the production, assembly, and sequencing operations of the entire plant.
  • Oversee all operational launch activities.
  • Lead and develop Team Leaders.
  • Be an active leader on the production floor—observing, analyzing, questioning, discussing, teaching, and leading others.
  • Participate actively in problem-solving and develop effective corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality policies, values, and philosophies.
  • Achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Administer operating systems to manage all production operations.
  • Maintain safe operations and a clean work environment by adhering to safety and housekeeping procedures.
  • Complete all necessary forms, documents, and reports promptly, as required by the company’s quality management system.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or 10+ years of experience as a Shift Manager in the automotive industry.

TRAVEL:

Travel required: minimal

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness and ability to rotate across different shifts as needed.
  • High interpersonal skills to work effectively with all team members.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, equipment, automation, and engineering specifications in automotive assembly.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Open-minded, responsible, and results-oriented.
  • Experience with data-driven decision making and problem solving.
  • Understanding of operational principles.
  • Familiarity with technological tools used in operations.
