Job summary

IQE plc is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift in Greensboro, NC, to oversee epitaxial materials production and monitor manufacturing processes. You will coordinate the Production team to ensure efficient, safe, and quality-compliant operations.

AbouttheRole

The Production Supervisor role (3rdShift) is responsible for the production of epitaxial materials as well as monitoring of the manufacturing process. This role focusses on the coordination and supervision of the Production team to ensure production processes run efficiently, safely and in compliance with quality standards.

KeyResponsibilities

TheProductionSupervisorwillberequiredto:

• Support ahighlevelofcleanlinessbycompletingscheduledhousekeepingtasks.
• Complywithallcompanypolicies,SOP(StandardOperatingProcedures),WorkInstructions,andrecordkeepingrequirements.
• ComplywithallEHSprotocolsandrequirements.
• Complywithallhealthandsafety,HR,environmentalqualityandcybersecurityguidelinesandproceduresinternallyandwithinthescopeofbusiness,ISO,andregulatoryrequirementsasitpertainstothejobfunction.
• Haveclearunderstanding ofchemicalsandsubstancesintheworkplaceandfollowstrictguidanceforhandlingofsuchsubstances,whichcouldincludePPErequirements.
• Fosteracollaborative workenvironmentandpromoteteamworkacrossdepartments.
• Therolemayrequireadegreeofflexibilityinworkinghours,whichwillbediscussedandagreed tosupport bothindividual andorganizationalneeds.
• Splitworkbetweenthecleanroomenvironment,followingallrequiredprotocolsandproceduresandtheoffice.
• CoordinateandsupervisethedailyactivitiesoftheProductionteam,settingprioritiesagreed withothercross-departmentalsupervisors.
• EstablishprogramsandsolutionsforimprovedperformanceofoperationsequipmentusingSixSigmaorLeanManufacturingtools.
• Lead projectsandbeaccountableforongoingobjectives.
• Accountableforthedocumentationofsafeworkingpractices.
• Managesassignedteammembersandisresponsiblefortheperformanceoftheteam.
• Conductsregularperformanceevaluationstoprovideconsistentcoachingandfeedback.
• Haveadvancedexperienceandcompetence inthefollowing:
• Allmanufacturingsystemstocarryoutroutinetasksaccuratelyandefficiently.
• Haveadvancedexperienceandcompetence inILM(In-Linemetrology)toolswithanunderstanding ofapplicationandoperation.
• Scheduledroutinecalibrationandmonitoringtasks.
• Relevantmanufacturingsystemstofollowandprocessroutinetasksaccurately,recordingallworkscarriedoutfortraceability.
• Haveadvancedunderstanding ofwaferdefectsandcontinuallymonitordefectstoreducetheiroccurrence.
• InstructandmentorOperatorsandTechniciansinvariousaspectsofmanufacturingprocess.
• Createandreviewalldocumentationtoensureaccuracy,quality,aswellaseffectivenessoftraining.
• Supportscontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
• Havespecialistexperienceandcompetence withtroubleshooting.
• Liaisewithothersitefunctionstoensuredailytargetsaremet.
• Beactively involvedwiththeEmergencyResponse Team(ERT),providingfeedbacktothesafetyteamonareasofimprovementwithintheworkenvironment.
• Performotherfunctionsanddutiesasrequired.
