Job summary

GEDIA North America in Dalton, MA is seeking a motivated team player to join our tier 1 Production Department for the third shift. The role oversees and may operate hot stamping lines, robotic welders and laser cells while ensuring production targets are met and quality is maintained.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in manufacturing, strong knowledge of hot stamping and assembly techniques, and is capable of coordinating changeovers, tracking input materials, and reporting daily

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating changeovers and ensuring on-time production.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and possibly operate production machines on the third shift.
• Coordinate weld fixture changes and ensure first-off parts are approved.
• Track production hours, units, and overtime per shift.
• Confirm daily production numbers in SAP and ensure labels match output.
• Leave shift notes detailing equipment status, changes, and issues.

Position Summary:

An opportunity exists for a motivated team player to join our tier 1 Production Department in the automotive supplier industry. The qualified individual will oversee and possibly operate various production machines such as, hot stamping line, robotic spot welding, and laser cells on our third shift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• A minimum of five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating various production machines, hot stamping,robotic welders and laser cells.
• Must have significant knowledge of hot stamping and assembly techniques
• May have to supply presses and welders with empties, WIP parts, purchase parts and pick up finished goods, so that operators do not have to interrupt production to get supplies.
• Coordinate weld fixture changes to make sure maintenance sets up welder according to schedule, first off parts are approved.
• Make sure production orders for next jobs are available.
• Track stock of production supplies like lubricants, weld gas and weld rod.
• Confirm daily production numbers in SAP.
• Correct production orders and labels to match produced quantities.
• Track production hours and parts made per shift.
• Track overtime of employees.
• Schedule employees to machines and possible overtime.
• Must be a team player, problem solver and have quality awareness.
• Perform in-process quality and identity checks according to operator check sheets and the instructions given by process control.
• Must take ownership of fully running and managing the 3rd shift and give report to 1st shift supervisor at the end of shift.
• Must leave daily emails to the day shift team as to what took place during the shift (shift notes) by piece of equipment and operation, including changeovers, quality issues and general information.
