Job Overview

AMETEK Superior Tube Company, a global leader in high-performance precision metal tubes for defense, energy, medical, and aerospace applications, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd (overnight) shift. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the supervisor will oversee manufacturing processes, ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production meetings and monitor schedules and metrics
• Train and mentor personnel to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a safe work environment
• Coordinate with other shifts and communicate effectively across organizational levels
• Supervise and support problem-solving and process improvements

Requirements

• Self-motivated with minimal supervision
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, with supervisory experience of hourly operators (preferably in metals manufacturing)
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection, and non-destructive testing (preferred)
• Understanding of Quality Assurance, Production Planning, and Safety
• 5+ years supervisory experience (preferred)
• Union experience (preferred)
• Educational background: 2-year or 4-year college degree in engineering (preferred)

Technical Skills

• Ability to interpret work orders and quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Leadership & Analytical Skills

• Set performance expectations and promote teamwork
• Lead improvement initiatives and enforce policies
• Troubleshoot production machinery and analyze data to meet customer requirements

Additional Details

• Position is not a working supervisory role
• Weekend and overtime work required, including every third weekend
• Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000, with additional benefits
