Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift (6:00am – 6:30pm Fri–Sun and Mon 11:00am – 3:00pm) in Brenham, TX. You will supervise manufacturing work areas to meet safety, quality, and efficiency targets, and support training and development for staff.

Preferred candidates have CNC experience or Lean knowledge, with a strong focus on teamwork and continuous improvement. On-site role with opportunities for growth in a global company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of two years of related supervisory experience.

If you are an Operations Professional looking for an opportunity to grow, we have an exciting position for you! Emerson is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for 3 rd Shift (6:00am – 6:30pm Friday – Sunday and Monday 11:00am – 3:00pm) in Brenham, TX. You will gain skills in the supervision of assigned manufacturing work areas in a manner that will achieve group objectives with regard to safety, quality, continuous improvement, schedule, cost, training, and a positive working environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Build and maintain a safe work environment. Be responsible for the maintenance and protection of company property in the assigned work area.
  • Plan daily work assignments and periodic rotations for assigned employees to meet objectives. Delegate routine and important tasks.
  • Share responsibility and accountability for safety, quality of product, and schedules with direct reports. Set clear objectives and measures, monitor progress and results.
  • Participate in the hiring and selection process to fill open positions. Interview and recommend potential candidates.
  • Maintain and support ongoing training programs. Participate in the development of new or updated training programs as necessary. Provide tasks and assignments that challenge and stretch employees’ abilities. Conduct regular discussions with employees on personal development.
  • Communicate regularly to assigned employees on matters such as business conditions, goals, trends, accomplishments, pay plan updates, and information on benefits and policies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and consistently and fairly coordinate and supports company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related supervisory experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Previous experience with CNC machining processes, including lathes, mills, or programming
  • Understanding of Lean principles
