PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR 2nd Shift - Wings/Bulk

Location: Sanford, North Carolina

Position Overview: This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest productivity in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor must also ensure all reporting requirements are met for their area of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train employees and foster an environment that promotes maximum quality and productivity performance.
  • Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machinery to optimize departmental efficiency while adhering to safety, quality, and personnel satisfaction standards.
  • Manage employee performance, providing both positive and corrective feedback as needed.
  • Promote goodwill within the department and company through proactive communication and employee involvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to investigate areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, process improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, offering suggestions for enhancements.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout the work area.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the poultry or food industry is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
