PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2ND SHIFT SADDLE PACK/TRAY PACK

Operations Management Support, Sanford, North Carolina

This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest productivity in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor must ensure all reporting requirements are met for their area of responsibility. Flexibility to work any shift is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Train employees and foster an environment that maximizes quality and productivity performance.
  2. Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machines to optimize departmental operations, adhering to safety, quality, and company standards.
  3. Manage employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  4. Promote goodwill through proactive communication and employee involvement.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to investigate and suggest improvements in quality, cost reduction, methods, yield, and equipment maintenance.
  6. Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout the work area.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. One or more years of supervisory experience.
  2. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
  3. Leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
  4. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to make independent decisions.
  6. Basic computer skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  8. Availability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED; college degree in a related field is preferred.
