Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift (12:30 PM - 9:30 PM) to support efficient operation of the manufacturing floor.

The role requires handling confidential materials and applying lean manufacturing principles with strong problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of manufacturing supervision experience and be proficient with MRP, time/attendance, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education; 4-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience or 2+ years of technical training beyond high school; 3-5 years of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits and develop action plans.
• Report progress to Department Manager or Plant Manager on EHS responsibilities.
• Plan and direct daily department activities; manage order processing and lead-times.
• Identify maintenance issues; ensure breakdown, scheduled, and preventive maintenance is completed.
• Review productivity and strive for year-over-year improvements.
• Participate in internal ISO audits and address CARs in a timely manner.
• Maintain records of time and attendance; counsel employees on performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
