Position Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating machinery to manufacture parts or products. This role emphasizes promoting safe operations, quality standards, and fostering a positive company culture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise production employees, including training, motivation, and discipline.
2. Recommend procedures, systems, and equipment modifications to improve efficiency and quality.
3. Coordinate maintenance and repair work orders.
4. Audit employee timecards for accuracy.
5. Enforce company policies and safety programs.
6. Evaluate employee performance and establish goals.
7. Maintain housekeeping standards and safety measures.
8. Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
9. Coordinate with other departments to meet customer deadlines.
10. Inspect products for conformance to specifications.
11. Adjust machines and processes to meet standards.
12. Develop and implement production and training procedures.
13. Provide instruction on safe machine operation and conduct performance reviews.
14. Assist in creating and updating SOPs and training materials.
15. Identify training opportunities and develop training programs.
16. Communicate effectively with all employees and demonstrate leadership.
17. Perform forklift certifications and possibly duties of a Machine Operator as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years related experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent, or 5-8 years of related experience and/or training.
