Job description

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift to join our team in Worcester, MA. This is an exciting and unique opportunity as the Worcester plant recently became part of the Power Quality Division and the Production Supervisor will have exposure to multiple business units through acquisitions, change management activities, and a business ramp up.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area. Participate in employment, staffing and performance management decisions, and maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
• Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Drive plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from Worcester Plant Key Projects and others as deemed by the Plant Manager and other site Managers.
• Maintain all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules. Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan. Plan and prioritize departmental as well as plant wide production schedules based on customer delivery dates, efficiencies, and material supplies.
• Monitor departmental and plantwide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded. Perform all duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Eaton and employee objectives and/or goals.
• Champion the use of Eaton systems and tools to ensure appropriate execution within assigned areas.
• Engage employees in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving. Implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture. Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
• Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced. Communicate effectively with other departments to expedite the workflow and ensure the established quality expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience OR a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution with a minimum of seven (7) years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.

You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:

• Lean Manufacturing experience/certification.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
• MRP experience.
