Job Summary
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the daily management of the equipment, business processes, support areas and operation associates. The responsibilities of the supervisor are focused toward personnel management and development, reduction of scrap and improvement in production related performance metrics. Establish Short Interval goals on each production line with the Operator at the beginning of the shift. Monitor equipment/personnel performance to goal, implement actions to achieve goal, report failure to miss goals with actions to ensure future compliance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

- Monitor and implement strategies to improve production outputs; machine utilization; downtime issues and scrap.
- Ensure associates understand and comply with company policies and standard practices.
- Evaluate manning requirements and ensure personnel are adequately trained, motivated and accountable for their performance.
- Work with Adjusters, Operators, and Foremen on identification and resolution of non-conforming tickets, customer complaints and quality alerts.
- Responsible for establishing hourly goals for eachpiece of equipment and addressing root causes to the variance of the established goals.
- Support efforts & activities to improve safety and housekeeping to reduce the incident rate.
- Strengthen manufacturing floor leadership through the development of supervisory skills
- Effectively communicate with Operations Associates, support groups and management.
- Monitor employee performance including action plans for non-performers and rewards for those with superior performance.
- Approve time for payroll
- Adhere to all Company Safety rules and regulations

- Controls costs by proactively controlling expenses and elimination of waste.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- Regularly exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals more than 50% of the work time.
- Some overnight travel by various modes of transportation including airline, train, and automobile as deemed appropriate
- Continuous contact with other people requiring communications via face-to-face, orally by telephone and various written methodologies
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
