Job summary

nVent is seeking candidates to lead production teams, train and mentor staff, and drive Lean improvements on the 3PM-11PM shift. You will ensure daily commitments are met while fostering a safe, efficient manufacturing environment across our global operations.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of manufacturing leadership, 2+ years Lean experience, and a high school diploma or GED (BA degree is a plus). We value process improvements and hands-on coaching to deliver results.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; BA degree a plus.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience; leadership experience preferred.
  • 2+ years Lean manufacturing experience; ability to apply Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead production employees, including training and conducting performance reviews.

  • Drive Lean initiatives; reduce waste across manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain safe, clean working environment and support safety programs.
  • Review payroll hours weekly and handle exception hours as needed.

  • Develop key improvement projects and fulfill related duties as needed.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION

Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance. Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made. Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily. Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs. Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed. Support new process and product development and implementation. Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.

YOU HAVE

High school diploma or G.E.D BA Degree is a plus Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
