Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day manufacturing floor operations ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Lead Lean initiatives (5S, Standard Work, Visual Management) and kaizen events.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
  • Maintain documentation and support audits/inspections.
  • Mentor and develop team members and drive continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement while applying Lean Manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence.**What You’ll Work On** * Supervise day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.* Champion Abbott’s cultural values by promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.* Lead and coach team members in Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Root Cause Analysis.* Identify and eliminate waste through continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events.* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce variability.* Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and internal quality standards.* Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and support new product introductions.* Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support employee development and training.* Maintain accurate documentation and support audits and inspections.* In addition to the duties of a grade 14 supervisor, a grade 15 supervisor has demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of lean systems and Tier meetings, to the point where they become a training resource for other areas within the building.* Able to teach others how their teams performance ties to the financial outcomes monthly and ability to support the financial planning process.* Ability to identify opportunities within the financial outcomes that are within their control and propose cost improvement projects. **Shift**Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, life sciences, or a related field preferred.* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device or pharmaceutical preferred).* Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.* Knowledge of: FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and GMP. Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
