Job summary

IFS INDUSTRIES, INC. in Reading, PA is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety.

You will coordinate staffing, materials, equipment, and maintenance to meet production goals, mentor crew members, uphold SOPs, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of OSHA/state/federal regulations.

IFS INDUSTRIES a leading Industrial Adhesives manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, motivated leader for our Production Supervisor role.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day operation, quality, and safety functions in the department.
• Responsible for the coordination of staffing, materials, quality control, and maintenance to meet expected productivity.
• Maintain operations in compliance with SOP’s, company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Provide process guidance and technical troubleshooting support to production personnel in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
• Ability to understand and operate manufacturing equipment/process in the production area.
• Work closely with management staff regarding productivity, quality, and employee performance.
• Ensure good housekeeping is adhered to and maintained in all work areas.
• Any other duties as they arise.

Requirements

Experience, Abilities and Skills

• A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage, lead, and motivate a team.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal employee regulations
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
• Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, ladders and balance.
• Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move 55 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and a wide range of temperatures.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Noise level is usually loud.
