Job Title: Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – Midnight)

Job Type: Direct Hire

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – Midnight)

Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 + Year-End Leadership Bonus (based on KPI performance)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead unionized manufacturing teams on 2nd shift. This role is essential in ensuring that products are produced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and delivery standards. The successful candidate will work alongside another seasoned supervisor on a shift of approximately 20 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals
• Manage union labor scheduling and ensure adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Collaborate with purchasing, production control, and planning to ensure availability of materials
• Promote and maintain a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Communicate effectively across departments and with other shift supervisors to ensure seamless workflow
• Monitor and control departmental budget and overtime, especially during end-of-month production surges
• Provide coaching, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience supervising within a unionized environment required
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (Plex experience is a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Demand Flow Technologies
• Background in engineered-to-order product manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of ASME codes and pressure vessel or heat exchanger manufacturing is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Overtime is often required during the last week of each month to meet production targets
• Eligible for a year-end leadership bonus based on KPI achievement
• Strong mentorship available from an experienced 2nd shift supervisor
