A leading manufacturing company in Missouri seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily operations, enforce safety guidelines, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading teams, strong communication skills, and a commitment to achieving production goals. Brief Overview
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations within their respective area(s). They ensure that the area is running smoothly, and daily schedules and targets are achieved. They ensure all equipment and operators perform their tasks safely. This position reports to the Production Manager.
Supervisor Responsibilities
· Play an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve current goals and support future growth.
· Assist in accident investigations.
· Ensure all labor forms are accurate and submitted on time.
· Authorize employee vacation requests.
· Report plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.
· Identify, track, and provide training to all employees on each function, focusing on cross-training of all team members.
· Perform regular employee evaluations.
· Prepare and deliver performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
· Continually evaluate and maintain areas of responsibility for 5S initiatives.
· Ensure manufacturing information is entered into the system daily.
· Work on the assembly line when required due to staffing or capacity needs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Ø Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a diverse team effectively while working hands-on.
Ø Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions to ensure smooth production processes.
Ø Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions, expectations, and feedback clearly and effectively.
Ø Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is a plus.
Ø Past supervisor experience is a plus.
