Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead about 40+ employees in our Final Assembly area at the Mequon, WI plant. Schedule: Monday–Friday 2:00pm–10:00pm with occasional Saturdays.

You will ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, hire and train staff, manage production plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events. This role reports to the Senior Production Supervisor and requires legal work authorization in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
• Typically requires no previous management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business (Management, Operations, Supply Chain) or related field of study.
• Prefer 1+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Working knowledge of capacity and production planning tools and techniques.

• Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement goals.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, e.g. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.

Job Description

We are looking for a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) who will provide immediate management to a team of approximately 40+ employees in our Final Assembly area. You will work onsite at our Mequon, WI plant and report to the Senior Production Supervisor.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm with occasional Saturdays.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage about 40 employees across 2nd shift in final assembly department.
• Maintain and enforce safe work practices.
• Select and hire employees and provide ongoing performance monitoring.
• Establish and implement employee training programs and schedules.
• Implement company procedures for disciplinary policies.
• Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.
• Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.
• Receive predetermined assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review.
• Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based on capacity.
• Plan and coordinate production order transitions and inventory transactions within the Plant between shifts and between manufacturing departments.
• Communicate production order status, warehouse daily priorities and results at frequent intervals.
• Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement goals.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.
• Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems related to material movement.

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
