Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
• Experience in manufacturing or related engineering environments.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of personnel and address safety concerns immediately.
• Ensure quality of product and re-prioritize work as needed for quality review.
• Achieve delivery and cost goals while following standard work and instructions.
• Lead CI efforts: standard work, operator loading balance, time studies, 5S.
• Lead problem solving, investigate process failures and implement corrective actions.
• Apply Lean methodologies: point-of-use tooling, material presentation, waste elimination.
• Train and mentor personnel on EBOS, ISO procedures, and CI practices.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and timecard approvals for staff.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support weekly cycle counts.
• Interface with operators, quality inspectors, and product engineers.

Job Description

The2nd Shift Production Supervisor will be responsible forAssembly Departmentpersonnel and Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost resultswhile leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate willwork in coordination withProduct Engineers, Production Planner, and Production Managerto ensureexecutionoftasksand milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures Safety of allpersonnelandimmediately addresses any safety concern.
• Ensures Quality of product built andre-prioritizes work if product must be put on hold for quality department review/disposition.
• Achievement of Delivery and Cost goals; ensuringadherencetostandard work and manufacturing instructions.
• Leadscontinuous improvement efforts,includingdevelopment ofstandard work,balancing of operator loading, execution of time studiesandimplementation of5Sinitiatives.
• Leadsmanufacturing problemsolving efforts, investigatesprocess failures and implementscorrective actionsin support of all shifts.
• ImplementsLean methodologies includingpoint of use tooling, material presentation, waste eliminationand process improvements.
• Trains and mentors assigned personnel on EBOS, ISO procedures, manufacturing documentation and continuous improvement.
• Responsible for accurate time clock reporting of assigned personnel and timecard approvals.
• Ensures accuracy of inventory in production areas and supports weekly cycle counting of product.
• Interfaceswith production personnel including operators, quality inspectors, andproduct engineers.

Requirements:

The successful candidatemust haveaminimumof 3yearsof project, manufacturing or related engineering experience.Additionally, it is desired that the candidate has experience/educationin the following areas:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead programs /projects
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems
• Established project management skills with the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing practices and in-depth understanding ERP/MRP planning systems
• Excellent verbal and presentation skills suitable for interaction with production team and with various level of management
• Strong skills in MS Windows - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
