Job summary

Westrock is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the RTD production facility, ensuring safety, food safety, and quality standards are met, and coordinating with a team to keep daily operations on schedule.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and the ability to train and guide hourly staff while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and compliance with SQF and regulatory requirements. Weekend/holiday coverage may be required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading hourly employees.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
• Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
• Ability to pass Better Process Control School.

Job description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that production meets Employee Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards set by Westrock, the food industry (SQF), and Regulatory agencies. This role will work with employees and communicate expectations. They will monitor machine and employee performance with continuous improvement in mind. The operational responsibilities include RTD Production areas.

Principal Job Duties:

• Oversee the daily operation of the RTD production facility.
• People management responsibilities including training, planning and conflict resolution.
• Provide direction, assign responsibilities, and motivate the production team to achieve department goals.
• Ensure daily production adheres to schedule and meets all quality standards.
• Work proactively to determine if goals will not be met and work with the team to adjust staffing levels as needed.
• Identify and address safety hazards and coach personnel in safety initiatives.
• Accurately interpret production schedule and work orders along with other instructions to assure proper materials and specifications are being followed. Inspect what is expected.
• Completes all required documents and checklists related to equipment operation.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operation difficulties.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment malfunctions, and materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operation difficulties using continuous improvement, document work instructions and resolutions.
• Assures all changeovers, start-ups and shutdowns are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in tracking daily KPI numbers.
• Follows all quality system and safety protocols by safely operating equipment, wearing proper protective equipment (PPE), keeping work areas clean and organized, and contributing to established safety goals.
• Follows all policies, procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
• Willingness to work weekends or holidays occasionally due to production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department and Company Management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well under pressure with competing demands in a team environment
