Job Description

Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Lexington, VA. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, manufacturing leadership experience, and a passion for team development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support production staff, fostering safety, quality, and accountability.
• Manage daily production schedules to meet targets and customer requirements.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution for efficiency.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement projects.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in throughput, efficiency, and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• At least 2 years in manufacturing or production, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.
• Knowledge of chiller systems and refrigeration is a plus.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
