Summary

Perdue Farms is hiring a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift (BLB) in Rockingham, NC. This role involves supervising production associates to meet production and quality standards safely and efficiently, and maintaining positive working relationships within the team.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Train, direct, and develop staff to meet operational, safety, and quality standards.
  2. Ensure product quality and integrity, meeting or exceeding customer requirements.
  3. Create a positive environment conducive to employee retention.
  4. Administer company policies and procedures consistently.
  5. Support company goals related to People, Products, Profitability, and Planet through effective planning, communication, coaching, and training.
  6. Implement new ideas to improve efficiency, safety, and quality scores with management approval.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
Experience Requirements
  • 0-3 years of work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with industry procedures like HACCP, SPC, and plant efficiency metrics.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to achieve results.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and company business.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move equipment and access supplies.
  • Work in environments with moist floors, variable temperatures, noise, and exposure to chemicals, with appropriate safety gear.
