Job summary

Qualifications

We are looking for a Production Supervisor – 1st Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance may be available.

This role is critical to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, including workforce management, process optimization, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, meeting production targets, and supporting strategic initiatives that align with our long-term business goals.

You’llmake an impact by:

• Leading daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) goals while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Supervising, coaching, and developing production teams to drive engagement, accountability, and high performance.
• Championing Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
• Partnering with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Planning teams to resolve issues, implement process improvements, and support new product introductions.
• Monitoring KPIs, analyzing production data, and leveraging Tier Meetings to identify trends, address bottlenecks, and improve operational performance.
• Optimizing labor, equipment, and production workflows while managing production systems, attendance, and reporting to meet customer demand effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting.
• Working knowledge of SAP in a manufacturing context.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and 5S implementation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in switchboard or electrical equipment assembly and manufacturing
• Technical training or certifications in manufacturing, operations, or lean methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Certification.
