Job summary

Clopay Corporation is hiring a 2nd Shift Supervisor for our Goodyear, AZ manufacturing facility. You will supervise the 2 PM–10 PM shift, ensuring safe operations, productivity, and quality across the line.

Leadership responsibilities include coaching teams, conducting investigations, and implementing improvements. The role requires manufacturing experience with supervision, strong communication, and a proactive approach to scheduling, training, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience plus 3–5 years of supervising experience.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading or participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to solve problems with little direction.
• Proven ability to lead and work with a team.
• Willing to come in early, stay late, or work weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department and ensure safety training and PPE usage.
• Lead job rotation, housekeeping, and safety policy adherence.
• Lead accident/incident investigations within the department.
• Track and improve line efficiencies; recommend improvements to reduce costs.
• Ensure product quality and timely completion of production schedules.
• Issue verbal and written warnings; manage disciplinary actions as needed.
• Administer company policies and maintain good employee relations.
• Lead monthly continuous improvement projects.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees.
• Maintain department vacation calendar and resolve conflicts.
• Manage timekeeping for department staff.
• Conduct monthly department meetings.
• Attend company-sponsored training and development courses.

We have an excellent opportunity for a 2nd Shift Supervisors(2 pm - 10 pm) in our Goodyear, AZ, manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities Include

• Provide a safe work environment in the assigned department. Ensure employees have received safety training and are properly using safety devices and equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring proper job rotation, good general housekeeping, and adherence to safety policies and work practices and procedures.
• Responsible for leading accident/incident investigations for all incidents within the department.
• Responsible for tracking and improving line efficiencies. Line efficiency improvements may involve process and/or line layout changes and making recommendations to reduce labor and material costs.
• Responsible for product quality and accuracy, and the timely completion of production schedules in established priority sequence.
• Maintain conformance with rules and regulations, issue verbal and written warnings when required. Recommend approved disciplinary layoffs when necessary.
• Administer company policies and maintain a pleasant employer/employee relationship on the highest possible level.
• Lead Monthly continuous improvement projects
• Responsible for training, mentoring and developing employees.
• Maintain the department vacation calendar and resolve vacation conflicts.
• Responsible for timekeeping for the employees in the department.
• Conducts a monthly departmental meeting covering the topics on the Monthly Department Meeting Agenda.
• Attend company-sponsored training classes and special classes to keep abreast of and well-informed on new developments regarding management and supervision, and other job-related courses.

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor's or Associate degree or equivalent experience plus education.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience plus a minimum of 3 - 5 years of previous experience as a supervisor or manager.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams skills
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with participating or leading continuous improvement projects.
• Ability to solve problems with little direction.
• Proven ability to work with a team as well as leading a team.
• Ability to come in early, stay late or work on the weekends when needed
