Job summary

Barren Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the 1st shift in our Kentucky facility. You will drive safety, quality and efficiency while coaching a direct reporting team to meet production goals.

Success requires strong communication, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to manage time and priorities across multiple lines. You will partner with the plant superintendent to optimize operations and maintain lean housekeeping standards.

• Strong communication and coaching skills to motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of associates and implement safety procedures.
• Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
• Monitor, measure, and report production process performance.
• Communicate clearly to all staff, verbally or in writing.
• Identify root causes and take fast corrective actions.
• Maintain housekeeping to keep a clean and safe workplace.
• Make decisions on quality or scheduling within the org structure.
• Communicate changes from crews to the plant superintendent.
• Enforce policies on attendance, quality, safety and conduct.
• Authorize and review employee time cards daily.
• Conduct weekly new employee evaluations.
• Oversee completion of RGAs.
• Report and communicate order shortages.

Monday - Friday 6 am - 230 pm

Summary

Lead Manufacturing department to create and maintain a behavior-based safety culture, produce quality products and maintain and increase plant efficiencies..

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety of associates and implementing safety procedures established throughout the plant.
• Manage, Develop, and motivate direct reporting staff
• Monitor, measure, and report on production related process performance, general issues
• To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
• Maintain and enforce housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
• Be able to make appropriate decisions involving quality, or scheduling while following the companies organizational structure.
• Communicate with the plant superintendent any changes communicated from crews.
• Enforce and discipline any associates breaking our companies policies (i.e. attendance, quality, safety, associate conduct).
• Maintain and authorize employee time cards on a daily basis
• Conduct new employee evaluations at the end of each week within their first month of employment
• Responsible for the completion of RGAs
• Report and communicate order shortages
