About the Role: Custom Glass Solutions is seeking a talented individual to join our Production Team! The Production Supervisor will serve as the first line of management responsible for managing the production floor. The selected candidate will report to the Plant Superintendent and serve as a member of the Leadership Team. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who possesses the ability to relate to employees at all levels. The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to direct and coordinate manufacturing activities, maintain workflows by leading team members, observe equipment, identify cost reductions, develop reporting procedures and systems, all while fostering cooperation within and between departments. The successful candidate must be sensitive to customer needs, corporate goals, and the company's reputation. The selected candidate will interface with all departments at our Upper Sandusky, OH location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, support departments, and other supervisors to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure that the production areas maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Implement and support all aspects of 6S.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach production team members.
  • Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating problems, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
  • Establish and control production conditions to meet customer and quality specifications.
  • Develop and maintain cost-effective production process improvements.
  • Analyze manufacturing materials and determine optimal control levels.
  • Assess training needs and support employee training, including communicating procedures and work practices.
  • Monitor production boards daily and throughout shifts to verify hourly production rates and targets.
You will succeed if you:
  • Possess 5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
  • Demonstrate characteristics of Servant Leadership: Listening, Empathy, Healing, Awareness, Persuasion, Conceptualization, Foresight, Stewardship, Commitment to growth, and community building.
  • Show commitment to professional and ethical standards, including sound judgment and problem-solving skills.

  • Hold formal certifications in continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, or Lean.
  • Exhibit strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Work extended hours and weekends as needed.
