Job summary

Production Supervisor

Company Overview

A growing food manufacturing organization is seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead shift operations in a fast‑paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and team performance while ensuring production schedules are achieved efficiently.

Position Summary

• Lead and coordinate production personnel across multiple manufacturing lines to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain communication with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and Leadership teams to minimize downtime and schedule disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety standards throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct staffing, production scheduling, material availability, and line startup activities to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor production performance, product quality, equipment effectiveness, downtime, and inventory usage while meeting throughput goals.
• Oversee employee training, attendance, performance management, reporting, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Leadership & Operational Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review production metrics, labor utilization, and operational reports to drive efficiency and cost control.
• Support a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and operational excellence across all shift personnel.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food, beverage, bakery, or consumer packaged goods operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems; experience with workforce scheduling and performance management preferred.

Education & Experience

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a related production environment preferred.
• Experience leading teams in a high-speed manufacturing setting with responsibility for safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
