Description
Food manufacturer in Sparta, WI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee food production operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with knowledge of food safety standards, production processes, and team management. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and a safe work environment. The shift is 6p-6a.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Night Shift Production: Oversee all aspects of food production during the night shift, ensuring schedules, quality, and safety compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, including task assignment, performance monitoring, and evaluations.
- Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Comply with all safety policies (GMPs, HACCP, SQF), monitor quality, and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize Production Efficiency: Monitor output, identify improvements, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve production issues and equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Equipment and Maintenance: Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently; coordinate repairs and maintenance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor raw materials and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory and minimal waste.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including batch and quality reports, and communicate issues to management.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct training, and participate in audits.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to initiatives to improve processes, quality, and safety.
- Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Training: Onboard and train new employees on procedures and safety.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (GMPs, HACCP, etc.).
- Leadership experience in a production environment.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to interpret production schedules and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of food processing equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
