Job summary

Synova currently seeks a production supervisor at our Westerville, OH facility to lead the production team, ensure EHS and food safety guidelines are followed, and manage schedules, inventory, and customer orders. You will oversee packaging, raw materials, and finished goods, reporting to the Production Manager.

You will also drive sanitation, training programs, and annual employee reviews, while coordinating with maintenance and QA to keep the site audit-ready.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a production environment with leadership preferably in the food industry.
• Builds collaborative relationships with other department leaders.
• Enjoys teaching others how to complete their tasks successfully.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal); follow-up with staff, vendors, and customers.
• Knowledge of HACCP and SQF processes and ability to adapt to varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Meet and plan with the Production Manager to lead the production technician team.
• Execute the production schedule and report issues to the Production Manager.
• Work with Production Manager and Operations Manager to ensure adequate levels of finished goods and raw materials.
• Generate the cycle counts for internal inventory audits and refine data in Macola.
• Support the facility EHS program and policies by monitoring the production team.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager with equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Develop and implement technician training and qualification program.
• Work with the Production Manager to generate annual employee reviews of the production team.
• Lead facility sanitation program to ensure site is audit ready.
• Ensure finished product is packaged properly and leaves the site in phenomenal condition.
• Generate POP orders in Macola and ensure all data is entered in documentation.
• Be a member of the facility food safety team.
• Maintain the Synova Hold and Waste logs.
• Assist in creation, review, training on, and enforcement of all production documents as needed.
• Maintain SQF compliance on cleanliness, documentation, and review.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance activities and report mechanical issues.
• In case of absence, the backup is the Production Manager.

Position Summary

Support the food grade facility by leading the plant production team ensuring environmental health and safety, and food safety guidelines are followed. • Competent organizing and prioritizing skills to work efficiently
• Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours, possible weekends or evenings
