Job summary

OmniMax International in Waco, TX, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, coordinate production, and ensure efficient use of resources on 1st shift.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing management with lean experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive cost control and productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of manufacturing management experience including 5+ years of lean and continuous improvement experience.
• Ability to operate with high urgency and communicate effectively with staff.
• Lean or Lean Six Sigma training is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with company policies.
• Recommend hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion within span of control.
• Reviews production costs and product quality and updates production and inventory control to maintain profitability.
• Provide leadership and direct all manufacturing activity on site ensuring Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and customer requirements.
• Promote cost control and productivity across manufacturing activities based on KPIs.
• Oversee site maintenance and equipment procurement for cost effectiveness.
• Participate in production planning ensuring alignment with management objectives and budgets.
• Set targets for productivity, customer service, and safety and monitor progress.
• Develop relationships with field sales representatives and customers to meet service expectations.
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team to improve order integrity and implement Lean/Visual management.

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a ProductionSupervisor. The Production Supervisor will oversee the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. They can plan workers’ schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:

• Five plus years of manufacturing management experience including 5+ years of lean and continuous improvement experience.

• Training in Lean or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and sales in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company.
• Recommend the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, demotion of employees within span of control.
• Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
• Provide leadership and direct all manufacturing activity on site ensuring best practice/compliance standards in Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and customer requirements.
• Promote a culture of adherence in cost control and productivity, ensuring maximum focus across all manufacturing activities based on established key performance indicators.
• Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
• Assume responsibility for site maintenance in addition to plant and equipment procurement ensuring cost effectiveness and rigorous implementation of preventative maintenance program.
• Active participation in production planning process ensuring commercial plans is consistent with management objectives and budgets.
• Set aggressive but achievable targets for productivity, customer service, and safety. Continuously monitor progress towards targets and initiate corrective actions.
• Develop strong relationships with field sales representatives and customers to meet high service expectations.
• Work with Continuous Improvement team to improve order integrity and implement Lean/Visual management techniques.
• Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Leadership.
• Full Time: Monday to Friday - Supporting 1st Shift
• Located in: Waco, TX
