Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Endicott, NY plant. You will lead a manufacturing team of about 30 people on a noon-midnight 2-2-3 C shift, ensuring safe operations while meeting productivity, safety, and quality goals.

You will hire, coach, review performance, and collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve processes, reduce waste, and control costs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures a safe workplace and promotes a safety mindset across the team.
  • Follows company policies, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Drives safety excellence through employee involvement and accountability.
  • Hires, schedules, and supervises full-time and temporary staff.
  • Provides coaching and timely feedback; administers disciplinary processes as needed.
  • Conducts quarterly and annual reviews for all team members.
  • Facilitates team development, problem-solving, and training.
  • Maintains process documentation and training procedures for quality and safety.
  • Ensures product quality and adherence to quality processes.
  • Collaborates with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Tracks productivity and manages costs using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Oversees inventory control and accuracy.
  • Assists with troubleshooting production issues.
  • Performs other duties as requested; demonstrates leadership in safety and compliance.

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing production team to work injury-free/incident free in a manufacturing environment. They will provide leadership and direction for their team in a way that motivates them to meet all productivity, safety, and quality goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help both their team and company meet production standards. They normally will lead a team of ~30 team members. This is a C shift- noon-midnight 2-2-3 schedule.

This position will be located at our plant in Endicott, NY.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do
  • Follows, and ensures others follow, all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company
  • Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards
  • Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff
  • Provides coaching and corrective feedback timely as well as administers disciplinary processes up to and including termination, as necessary
  • Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members
  • Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution
  • Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace
  • Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed
  • Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance, to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses
  • Tracks productivity for measured efficiency and improvement and operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross training
  • Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved
  • Assist with troubleshooting and solving production issues
  • Performs other duties as requested by management
  • Demonstrated leadership in safety & environmental compliance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees
  • Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented environment
Job Requirements

Compensation
  • The annual salary is $70,000-85,000
  • Annual bonus opportunity of 5% AND a $2,500.00 sign on bonus
