Job summary

Bekaert in the United States, based in Van Buren, AR, seeks a Salaried Production Supervisor to oversee the production floor, ensuring safe, efficient operations and that production targets are met with consistent quality.

You will lead and develop a team, implement lean manufacturing practices, coordinate with quality, maintenance and logistics, and report performance to upper management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role in manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Purpose and Mission

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that production schedules are met.
• Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Quality Control: Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications, implementing quality control measures as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Resource Management: Coordinate the use of materials, equipment, and labor to optimize production efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the production process to minimize downtime.
• Reporting: Prepare and present production reports to upper management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless production operations.
