Job summary

J&J Snack Foods, a leader in the snack industry for over 50 years, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations, drive efficiency, quality and safety, and guide a skilled production team in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will coordinate scheduling, monitor workflow, implement improvements, maintain GMP/SQF/FDA compliance, and partner with maintenance, quality and warehousing to ensure a smooth, safe production flow and measurable performance gains.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing is desired.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Proficient with software packages such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Email, Internet, and Power Point.

Underthe leadership and guidance of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee our production operations and ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.Key responsibilities include supervising production staff,monitoringworkflow, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Production Supervisor will play a pivotal role in driving productivity,optimizingresources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within theplant.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supervises and coordinatesdaily productionactivitiesto meet production targets and quality standards.
• Plans andprioritizesproduction schedules tooptimizeresources and minimize downtime.
• Leads, mentors, and motivatestheproduction teamto achieve performance goals andmaintaina positive work environment.
• Manages productiongoalsincludingwaste,labor,throughput,andensurestheappropriate maintenanceof production equipment.
• Ensuresthetimelyinitiation of production lines, efficiency of changeover, and monitors labor cost.
• Collaborates with other departments, such as maintenance, quality, andwarehousing, to ensureasmoothand safeproduction flow.
• Enforcessafety protocols and regulations tomaintaina safe working environment for all employees.
• Proactively androutinelymonitorsemployee performance, providesfeedback, and implementsdisciplinary actions when necessary.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
• Implementsandenforcescompliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines, and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
• Performs daily recaps and provides corrective action recommendations tooperationsleadershipin areas including but not limited tosafety, quality, cleanliness, yield, and efficiency.
• Performs all otherduties asassigned by theProduction Manager.

US Salary Pay Range

$60,000—$75,000 USD
