Job summary

HMI Glass is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor to oversee the daily workload of the fabrication team, drive training and safety goals, and partner with the Center Manager to meet customer satisfaction and KPI targets. This role emphasizes process improvements and reliable reporting.

You will lead Fabricators, Builders, Boxers, and Heavy Hardware pickers, design career paths, allocate work, and manage safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a related industry and management role.
• Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience required.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication staff across roles (Fabricators, Builders, Boxers, Heavy Hardware pickers).
• Plan, train, and retain employees; manage safety and performance.
• Collaborate with Center Manager to meet output goals and KPIs.
• Prepare daily performance reports for leadership review.
• Assist with material ordering to control inventory and avoid stock-outs.

Job description

Responsible for the supervision of employees in the Fabrication function. This role will be responsible for the daily work, training, retention, performance and safety goals. Equally important will be the assistance this role will provide to the Center Manager to achieve positive results in customer satisfaction and key performance indicators, while continuously looking for ways to improve processes and procedures within the operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages all Fabrication warehouse employees (Fabricators, Builders, Boxers and Heavy Hardware pickers) including hiring, training, planning and assigning work, retention, safety, performance and discipline.
• Works to design career paths and structures expectations for fabrication employees.
• Collaborates with the Center Manager to ensure output goals are being met and acts as a sounding board for new ideas, process updates and escalation.
• Prepares daily reports for Center Manager to highlight performance on an ongoing basis.
• Conducts research, multi-bidding and cost comparisons for large purchases.
• Assists in ordering raw materials for the multiple departments to stay in control of inventory to avoid stock-outs.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience:
