Job summary

Altium Packaging in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Supervisor to oversee Production and Warehouse operations on a four-day, 40-hour schedule (Mon-Thu, 12-hour days). You will direct production personnel, manage inventory, and coordinate shipments to ensure safety and GMP compliance.

Required are 5 years in manufacturing, strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and knowledge of HR processes. Preferred: associate degree and forklift certification.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing industry or related fields.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet.
  • Tactful phone etiquette when interacting with customers and employees.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and payroll.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and designing forms and other office procedures.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment, quality standards, and evaluation of satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical process expert in production, planning, scheduling, preventative maintenance, and budgetary matters.
  • Comply with OSHA standards and company policies as they relate to safety and hygiene.
  • Manage the employee performance cycle, including interviewing, training, development, recommending advancement and promotions, coaching, counseling, and employment discharge.
  • Communicate frequently with other departments to ensure smooth plant operations and open communication lines.
  • Administrative duties include documenting employee performance results, goals, and training progress.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in production specifications and routine operations.
  • Meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Inspect incoming materials and report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
  • Prepare documentation of production tickets, load sheets, and certificates of compliance or analysis.
  • Plan and implement controls to track supplies, raw materials, work in process, and finished goods inventory.
  • Create and manage the process of Bill of Lading (BOL) and coordinate with vendors on shipment timing and efficiency.
  • Communicate with shipping carriers for on-time delivery to customers.
  • Other duties and roles assigned by management.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Location Address: 6545 S Glacier Street, Tukwila, Washington 98188

Work Shift: Salary Exempt (United States of America). The Supervisor position combines production and warehouse departments, directing and monitoring production personnel and warehouse inventory and shipments. NOTE: Schedule is a four (4) day 40‑hour work week, Monday‑Thursday, 12‑hour day shift (1st Shift).

Plant Responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a manufacturing setting. Noise levels are typically loud, and temperatures fluctuate between hot and cold. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.

Targeted Pay Range: $65,700.00 – $80,500.00
