Job summary

Arconic is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team in Massena, NY. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental & Safety policies, monitoring performance, and implementing corrective actions.

Additionally, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage employee relations while striving to meet production goals. The position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 and benefits including a 401(k) plan and health insurance.

Job description

Arconic is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Operations Team in Massena, NY.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Environmental & Safety policies are followed.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions to meet goals.
• Identify and implement improvement plans.
• Solve problems to the root to prevent recurrence.
• Effectively communicate with others within and outside the work group.
• Maintain all production and related quality assurance records.
• Provide leadership, direction and motivation to people in the assigned area.
• Effectively manage employee and labor relations, including contract administration, grievance handling and day‑to‑day employee complaints/issues.
• Meet or exceed production goals including production output, safety, on‑time delivery, and people initiatives within a traditional unit supervisor role.
• Direct the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardized work, work balance, product flow and TPM improvements.
• Own cost savings initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Some supervisory experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Appropriate government clearances may be required due to access to controlled technology (Export Administration Regulations and/or ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Supervisor experience in a unionized environment.
• Excellent people and leadership skills and a demonstrated analytical aptitude.
• Proven ability to engage the workforce in problem solving.
• Proven ability to drive results leading to higher efficiencies.
• Experience and ability to work with and train others in an ABS environment.
• Organized, motivated, and able to facilitate people at the floor level.
• Knowledge of information systems and computer software packages is preferred.
• Self‑directed, customer‑focused individual.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Outlook, Windows OE operating systems and statistical software packages.

Export Control Requirements

This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.

Base Salary Range

$65,000.00 – $75,000.00
