Job summary

Greene, Tweed is seeking a Production Supervisor in Kulpsville, PA to lead daily operations, manage staffing and budgets, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery. You will apply Lean Six Sigma and standard work principles to improve performance and reduce costs.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication across levels, and a track record of continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting. A BS degree and Lean/Six Sigma certification are desirable.

Qualifications

• 5 years manufacturing experience with direct supervision of others.
• Lean manufacturing background with continuous improvement focus.
• Strong communication across multiple levels in the organization.
• Root cause analysis experience; Six Sigma training is a plus.

Will foster engaged employees that drives continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles such as Statistical Process Controls (SPC) and DMAIC process, ensuring the optimal utilization of employees, equipment and material according to all order fulfilment requirements – quality, timeliness and costEssential Duties/Responsibilities: Plan and manage the daily operation of assigned department(s), including the daily management and maintenance of staffing levels (direct/contract) and budget accountability to accomplish plant objectives in an effective and efficient manner Provide necessary training and reinforcement to workforce to ensure they understand and can apply the skills required to produce quality products according to Greene, Tweed and customer requirements; Administer Company rules, regulations & safety policies, initiating and recommending corrective actions; Provide direction, and strength of Leadership, initiating communication and working cross functionally across all levels, collaborating between shifts/departments on a consistent basis. Addresses issues and maintains availability to operators to answer questions as required; Actively analyze department performance against metrics and identify opportunity for continuous improvement. Creates, posts and communicates to ensure everyone understands their role in achieving plant commitments; Guide workforce in the compliance to Standard Work, recommends improvements in Work Instructions, methods, processes, policies and equipment and ensures operators are informedRequired Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications: HS Diploma/GED required; Preference given to candidates with BS Degree Lean/Six Sigma certification desiredSkills and Experience: 5 years of previous manufacturing experience, including exposure to leading/directing the work of others; Ideal candidate will have 3 years’ direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment, focused on continuous improvement and High Performance Work teams desired Demonstrated ability to lead by example, serving as a positive role model to others and embracing standard work required Strong communication skills required, including the ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels in the organization.
