Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Sedalia, MO is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations and supervise the production team, ensuring safe, on-time delivery of quality products.

You will partner with management to allocate resources, guide staff, and implement procedures to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards and quality.

This role requires 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing; a BS is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans and delegates work to optimize man-hours, skills and equipment.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for supervising employees as well as leading daily operations and coordination of activities for their team. This role will work closely with management to provide resources, on-going work direction, decision making and problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of quality product on time to the customer (internal and external).

Responsibilities

• Operations: Plans, organizes and delegates work assignments in order to best utilize man-hours, skills, and equipment.
• Production: Anticipate production problems and devise and implement procedures to offset lost production and schedule interruptions.
• Plant Safety: Inspects machines and equipment. Polices the use of safety equipment, departmental housekeeping and maintains a continual alert for hazardous conditions.
• Training: Coordinates and participates in a variety of training programs for employees.
• Employee Safety: Proactively supervise safety, including accident investigation and follow-up, departmental inspections, employee training, and safety rule enforcement.
• Management: Involved in the recruitment, training, goal setting and performance management of production staff.
• Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in an off-shift manufacturing environment.

• Manufacturing supervisory experience preferred
