Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and environmental requirements in the Manufacturing department.
• Ensure quality system requirements are executed by the Manufacturing Department.
• Develop and maintain department documents related to the QMS.
• Create and manage production schedules and coordinate with Lead Operators.
• Maintain department performance metrics aligned with business goals.
• Develop corrective actions for safety and quality deficiencies.
• Provide technical and administrative support to Lead Operators with Maintenance, Engineering and Quality.
• Maintain organization and housekeeping of the work area.
• Coordinate with service and front-office for schedules and improvements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage attendance, performance and vacation approvals.
• Administer training and development of employees.
• Evaluate operator performance against business metrics.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions with Human Resources.
• Process purchase requisitions for consumables and department items.
• Maintain QMS applicable to assignment.

Sumitomo Electric Interconnect Products, Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a Production Supervisor role in San Marcos, CA (North San Diego Area).

This position will lead the Manufacturing Department and/or one of its operating shifts in a supervisory capacity. This person will be responsible for the safety, organization, administration and performance of the department and/or shift they are assigned to. They will report to the Manufacturing Manager and work with internal and external department staff to execute the department tasks and meet established goals. This person will also be responsible to the adherence and application of all company policies and programs both general to SEIP and specific to the department, as well as the enforcement of those policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinelyusesstandardofficeequipmentsuchascomputers,phones,photocopiers,filing cabinets and fax machines.
• MustbeabletowearPersonalProtectiveEquipmentsuchasSafetyShoes,Glasses,and Hearing protection.
• Mustbecapable ofoperatingaforklift,and/or other poweredmaterial handling devices.
• Mustbeable to participatein a Radiation safety program.
• Upto 5%travel required.Travel maybeout oftown and overnight.

PhysicalRequirements:

• Whileperformingdutiesonthisjob,theemployeeis requiredtobend,twistandliftupto 75 pounds.
• Thisjob will requirepushing/ pullingof drums, reels,pallet jacks and carts.
