Star Cases, LLC dba ZERO Manufacturing in Utah is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate work across multiple manufacturing centers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will lead safety, quality, and process improvements, mentor the management team, maintain AS9100 compliance, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating cross-functional departments to schedule customer orders.

Qualifications

• Analytical minded with strong attention to detail.
• Lean manufacturing experience; Six Sigma is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, charts.
• Experience leading a multi-work center manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for On Time Delivery (OTD) by addressing efficiency, productivity constraints and bottlenecks and providing process improvements.
• Promote safety within the operation.
• Promote quality of products to ensure highest quality standard parts.

Are you up for a challenge? Can you manage multiple work centers? Do you have experience developing a team? Have you worked with Lean Manufacturing and process improvements? Have you been in Manufacturing Supervisor and higher for at least 5 years? If so, we want you to join our team.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating work activities and resources necessary for multiple work centers to produce products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for On Time Delivery (OTD) to our customers. By addressing efficiency, productivity process constraints and bottlenecks and providing process improvements to the current process.
• Responsible for providing and promoting safety within our operation
• Responsible for promoting quality of our products to ensure our customers that they receive the highest quality standard parts.
• Responsible for coordinating cross-functional departments to plan and/or schedule of customer orders
• Understand capacity capabilities and constraints
• Monitoring the production processes and ensuring that they are adequate to meet the production schedule.
• Ensure compliance and certification with AS9100 Standards
• Scrap reduction and rework
• Mentor, develop and lead management team, direct and indirect reports.

• A proven history of leading and implementing process improvements to promote increases in efficiency and productivity.
• Demonstrated ability to determine root cause, implement action items and develop a conclusion.
• Hands-on manager willing to learn and become an expert in the details of the processes.
• Demonstrated leadership to promote several departments.
• Ability to motivate and engage employees to promote process improvements.
• Ability to deal with problems, whether it's personnel and/or operational and the ability to provide guidance or direction to resolve the issue.
• Experienced in working with labor intensive, custom manufacturing processes.
• Must have computer skills to create scheduling or customer orders with real time status
• Be able to hold daily production meetings to drive order completion from primary department as well as cross functional teams.
• Special Note: This is a multi-work center manufacturing plant, not a typical assembly line plant, knowledge of aluminum, paint process, anodize, hydraulic presses, draw tooling, welding, quality standards for the government and the aerospace industry is a huge plus.

MUST HAVES:

• Analytical minded and attention to detail
• Lean manufacturing and/or understanding with demonstrated experience: Certified Lean Six Sigma is a plus
• Must be proficient in Excel: pivot tables, spreadsheets, charts, and other Microsoft tools
• Experience working in a multi-work center manufacturing plant
• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of proven upper management experience, (supervisor or above),
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Program management is a plus
