Job summary

ZERO Manufacturing seeks an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor overseeing multiple work centers in Utah. You will lead, mentor, and develop management teams while driving on-time delivery, safety, and quality across cross-functional departments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of upper-management experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel. Prior experience with Lean manufacturing and AS9100 is a plus; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail required.
• Lean manufacturing understanding with demonstrated experience; Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, etc.).
• Experience leading multi-work center manufacturing operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of proven upper management experience (supervisor or above).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; program management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own On Time Delivery (OTD) by removing bottlenecks and driving process improvements.
• Promote safety within the operation and maintain a safe work environment.
• Promote and assure high quality of parts to meet standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional departments to plan and schedule customer orders.
• Understand capacity capabilities and constraints to meet production schedules.
• Monitor production processes to ensure alignment with schedules.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Reduce scrap and rework.
• Mentor and lead management and direct/indirect reports.
• Propose annual budget and pursue efficiency-driven cost savings.

Include the following duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for On Time Delivery (OTD) to our customers. By addressing efficiency, productivity process constraints and bottlenecks and providing process improvements to the current process.
• Responsible for providing and promoting safety within our operation
• Responsible for promoting quality of our products to ensure our customers that they receive the highest quality standard parts.
• Responsible for coordinating cross-functional departments to plan and/or schedule of customer orders
• Understand capacity capabilities and constraints
• Monitoring the production processes and ensuring that they are adequate to meet the production schedule.
• Ensure compliance and certification with AS9100 Standards
• Scrap reduction and rework
• Mentor, develop and lead management team, direct and indirect reports.
• Propose the annual budget and seek efficiency improvements to generate cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• A proven history of leading and implementing process improvements to promote increases in efficiency and productivity.

• Demonstrated leadership to promote several departments.
• Ability to motivate and engage employees to promote process improvements.
• Ability to deal with problems, whether it’s personnel and/or operational and the ability to provide guidance or direction to resolve the issue.
• Experienced in working with labor intensive, custom manufacturing processes.
• Must have computer skills to create scheduling or customer orders with real time status
• Be able to hold daily production meetings to drive order completion from primary department as well as cross functional teams.
• Special Note: This is a multi-work center manufacturing plant, not a typical assembly line plant, knowledge of aluminum, paint process, anodize, hydraulic presses, draw tooling, welding, quality standards for the government and the aerospace industry is a huge plus.

MUST HAVES:
