Job summary

Medline Renewal is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team tasked with transforming used medical devices into safe, high-quality products. You will oversee production, ensure timely finished goods, and maintain inventory integrity while driving Lean improvements.

The role requires leadership, at least 2 years in production and familiarity with SAP/Catalyst. You will mentor staff, manage scheduling, and ensure regulatory compliance and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience leading production teams and driving Lean improvements.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, standard work, visual management) and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate product processing.
  • Drive Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow and productivity.
  • Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and inventory; take corrective actions.
  • Support 5S workplace organization and a safe working environment.
  • Manage backorders and production scheduling; optimize resource use.
  • Create production orders and ensure on-time inventory and paperwork.
  • Ensure inventory integrity of components and finished goods.
  • Communicate backorder/alternative item status to product divisions.
  • Back-up for production equipment, material handling and warehouse.
  • Develop staff through onboarding, training and performance management.

Job Summary

Join Medline Renewal as a Production Supervisor and lead a team in a unique manufacturing environment where innovation, continuous improvement and leadership help transform used medical devices into safe, high-quality products for healthcare providers.

In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate production of finished goods and the delivery of product to the customer. Maintain inventory integrity of components and finished items.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate product processing
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve process flow, increase productivity, and reduce operational costs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and productivity, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support and sustain 5S workplace organization standards to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor backorder reports and production scheduling and coordinate resources to ensure minimal backorders. Ensure overall quality of the items produced.
  • Create inventory transfers and production orders to meet the established production schedules and service levels.
  • Create all needed paperwork, the completion of all required functions and the electronic receipt of finished goods. Ensure compliance with all regulatory functions that apply.
  • Ensure inventory integrity for components and finished product.
  • Communicate with product divisions on backordered items and substitute items.
  • Act as back-up on/for production equipment, material handling and warehouse.
  • Develop and mentor staff through on‑boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
Required Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous SAP and Catalyst experience.
  • At least 2 years previous production experience.
  • Previous experience as a department lead or supervisor a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
  • Knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies such as 5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, Kaizen, and root cause problem solving.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$73,000.00 - $110,000.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
