Job summary

Cavallero Plastics, Inc. is seeking a motivated supervisor to oversee the molding operation on the assigned shift in Pittsfield, MA. You will lead floor personnel, ensure machines run smoothly, and maintain material flow to meet production plans.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, resolving machine alarms, coordinating with quality and MRB handling, and assisting with machine set-ups to keep schedules on track. A high school diploma and three years in injection molding are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years in injection molding.
• Proven supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign floor support to machines and areas; monitor performance.
• Assure proper operation of machines; ensure raw materials, inserts and packaging are supplied.
• Ensure proper movement of product according to work orders and the quality plan.
• Resolve machine alarms and quality problems quickly; shut down machines when correction cannot be made.
• Review and move tags on defective material or send to MRB as necessary.
• Assist in machine set-up when required.
• Assign priorities to inspection personnel on off shifts to achieve production schedules.
• Will comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Will perform other duties as assigned and directed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

• Get quick resolution to machine alarms and quality problems. Shut down machines when correction cannot be made.
• Review and initially move tags on defective material or send to MRB as necessary.
• Assist in machine set-up when required.
• Assign priorities to inspection personnel on off shifts to achieve production schedules.

Additional Duties

• Will comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Will perform other duties as assigned and directed.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years in injection molding.
• Proven supervisory skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and/or walk 80% of the day.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
