Job summary

BEA is seeking a Production Supervisor to own day-to-day production execution. You will lead operators, balance daily labor, ensure standard work, and escalate safety, quality, material, and equipment issues to meet daily output targets while maintaining a positive work environment.

You will collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, and Production leadership to drive smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with ERP and MS Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production execution across assigned areas, including workflow, labor balancing, task assignment, and shift performance.
  • Own daily SQDCP / daily management board updates for assigned areas and lead or support daily production huddles.
  • Monitor safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and attendance; escalate barriers and risks promptly.
  • Provide clear instructions, delegate tasks, and ensure team understands objectives and priorities.
  • Coach team members, provide feedback, support training plans, and reinforce company values.
  • Track daily production attainment, attendance, training compliance, quality issues, and status.
  • Identify bottlenecks, equipment/material issues, and staffing concerns; escalate to Production Manager.
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of team members.
  • Act as liaison between production team and leadership; collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving.

Authority

Reports to: Production Manager

Direct hierarchical authority of: Operations Team Members I, II & III

Functional authority towards: Daily production execution, operator guidance, training compliance, shift-level escalation, and standard work adherence

Main collaboration with: Production Manager; Production Coordinator II; Operations Team Members; Area Leadership; INDUS; Quality Control; Customer Service; Shipping/Receiving; Warehouse

Scope of the position

The Production Supervisor owns day-to-day production execution. This role leads operators, manages daily labor allocation, maintains standard work adherence, escalates safety, quality, material, and equipment issues, and ensures that the production team meets daily output targets while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily production execution across assigned areas, including workflow, labor balancing, task assignment, standard work adherence, and shift performance.
  • Own daily SQDCP / daily management board updates for assigned areas and lead or support daily production huddles.
  • Monitor safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and attendance during the shift; elevate barriers and risks promptly.
  • Provide clear instructions, delegate assignments, and confirm team members understand objectives and priorities.
  • Coach team members, provide feedback, support training plans, and reinforce company values and professional standards.
  • Track daily production attainment, attendance, training compliance, quality issues, and operational status.
  • Identify bottlenecks, equipment issues, material issues, and staffing concerns; elevate complex issues to the Production Manager.
  • Support onboarding and cross-training of team members.
  • Act as primary liaison between production team members and production leadership.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Warehouse, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, and Production Coordinator II to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements

Degree(s) or certification(s): High School Diploma or GED required; technical associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Re-certification requirements: N/A

Professional experience required (min.):

Three to five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.

Manufacturing processes, work instructions, safety expectations, quality requirements, daily management, SQDCP, standard work, people leadership, and 6S.

IT skills: ERP and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

French: N/A
