We are searching for an experienced Production Supervisor at ourPhiladelphia, PAfacility.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality in manufacturing. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities to drive production goals while maintaining high standards of workplace safety and product quality. The Supervisor will work closely with management and production staff to optimize workflows and enhance overall operational performance.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and guide production team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to improve team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Production Oversight & Efficiency:
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline production processes.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, PA state regulations, and company safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to uphold manufacturing standards.
Equipment & Process Management:
- Oversee daily equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Support process improvements through Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Assist in CNC programming and welding operations as needed.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Monitor resource usage and control costs within production budgets.
- Minimize overtime while maximizing operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing (hollow metal doors and frames preferred).
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production schedules.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and welding is a plus.
- Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- CNC Programming (Basics)
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
- Light Industrial Welding
- OSHA 30 Certification
