Wabtec Corporation in Oak Creek, WI seeks an Assembly Supervisor to lead the on-site team responsible for maintenance of way equipment assembly. You will supervise daily activities, optimize labor, drive safety and quality, and coordinate with Engineering and Materials teams to meet delivery goals.
The role requires supervisory experience, mechanical/electrical/hydraulic background, and strong project-management skills with a focus on continuous improvement and LEAN practices.
Who will you be working with?
Our best-in-class Operations team is dedicated to providing our customers with highly-engineered machinery that exceeds our customers expectations. Here, working in coordination with our on-site Engineering and Materials teans, you will lead our Assembly team that is committed to producing our industry leading Maintenance of Way equipment.
As a member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for the supervision of the work activities of employees in assembly and related areas, including work assignments and schedule of work hours to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the effective use of labor hours, safety and quality.
Work is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to talk and hear. Normal correctable vision is required.
You may be asked to travel up to 5% of the time
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

The salary rate for this role is currently $68900-98200 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
