Job summary

Winland Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead production, packaging, and warehouse teams in a fast-paced facility in North East, PA. The role focuses on safety, quality, and continuous improvement while ensuring CI projects are executed and SOPs followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, driving changeovers, and coaching associates to improve performance. Strong experience with CP and GMP standards is required, with physical tasks on the floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of packaging and processing operations.
• Proven leadership and team building skills.
• Experience in implementing and sustaining CI tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of GMPs and food manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing setting.
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong accountability.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Draft reports, develop one point lessons, and publish written training material.
• Must wear PPE as required and work on the production floor.

• Support and coaching associates to ensure consistent performance, development, and training.
• Promote and sustain CI efforts using 5S, root cause analysis, and Gemba walks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMPs, sanitation, and food safety policies.
• Collect, verify, and analyze production data, downtime reports, operator check sheets, etc.
• Communicate shift changes, product transitions, and other key updates clearly.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Inventory to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and manage non-conforming product rework.
• Ensure the production schedule is met and materials are available.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned

The Production Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for directing associates in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. This position facilitates execution of daily production activities and implementation of action plans that address systemic issues and drive long-term success. The role ensures the achievement of Quality, Service and Cost objectives by supervising the production floor, supporting operators, and maintaining compliance with all safety, food safety, and GMP standards. The Production Supervisor is a key driver of Winland Food’s Continuous development, training, and accountability.

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications

$73,000 - $108,900 annually with additional bonus potential
