Job summary

CTDI is seeking a Production Supervisor for its New Jersey facility. The role supports a 1st shift, 5:00AM-3:30PM, Sunday through Wednesday, with an hourly pay of $21.97 plus a 15% shift differential.

You will supervise production staff, manage tasks, monitor KPIs, and ensure safety and quality standards while meeting customer SLAs. Weekly pay and performance incentives are offered in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of leadership experience in distribution/manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
• Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily KPIs, with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
• Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
• Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
• Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues promptly resolved.
• Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
• Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.

Production Supervisor

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
• Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

• Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
• Provide first level of support for any escalated issue during work shift.
• Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
• Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues promptly resolved.
• Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
• Assists in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
• Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
• Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure sufficient inventory to meet demand and proper staffing levels.
• Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
• Perform all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills And Experience

• 1+ years of leadership experience, materials/distribution environment preferred.
• Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach focused on results and continuous improvement.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
• Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Previous experience in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics operation a plus.
• Supervising temporary staff.
• Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
• General knowledge of OSHA Standards.

Educational Requirements

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
