Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Production Leader to guide a diverse team in a food manufacturing setting, driving safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead training, provide coaching, and resolve production, safety, and regulatory issues while supporting audits and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach to work nights and weekends, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in dairy, food science, agriculture, business, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of proven leadership or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to communicate with influence, both written and verbally.
• Proactive, self-accountable, solution-focused approach.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guide a diverse team of production partners in a food manufacturing setting
• Participate in Production Leader training covering production processes, coaching, mentoring, and resolving production, safety, and quality matters
• Communicate expectations and provide ongoing performance feedback
• Guide production teams to maximize efficiencies and achieve daily production goals
• Assist with company, plant, and department processes and programs
• Monitor training to prepare team members for success
• Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
• Identify waste and cost-reduction opportunities through daily problem solving
• Participate in capital improvement projects
• Resolve roadblocks to maximize production efficiencies
• Collaborate with others to support customer-focused efforts
• Develop and demonstrate knowledge of government regulations
• Represent the plant during regulatory, customer, and internal audits
• Establish and audit standard operating procedures to ensure customer requirements are met
