Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in processing. This position evaluates materials and products to maintain organization standards, trains new employees and maintains production records.
The Production Supervisor supports the day-to-day operations of the processing facility ensuring compliance with company standards. This role acts as a bridge between frontline employees and management providing leadership direction, and hands-on support to direct sanitation efforts for ensuring that all equipment and the plant environment are properly maintained. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate numbers from the plant through inventory validation and load blending reviews.
As a supervisory position, this role will be required to work on all 3 shifts as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:- Directs and schedules daily production activities including raw material receiving and finished product shipments.
- Reviews and confirms daily production numbers, performs audits and inspectionsand adjust daily production plans.
- Coordinates with Maintenance Departmentto schedulebasic preventive maintenance and equipment repairs, if applicable. Expedites equipment repair when necessary.
- Oversees completion of new operator training.
- Enforces company, environmental and safety policies for compliance. Practice proper PPE compliance and maintains a safe working record and environment.
- Maintains an open line of communication with collections to provide consistent raw material flow to develop the most efficient coordinated practices resulting in lower cost for collections and processing.
- Operates equipment and perform production tasks as needed to support the team.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years’ related lead experience required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle or related software
- Excellent time management and supervisory skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and meet deadlines.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; kneel, climb ladders, and squat for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights up to 35 feet, in confined spaces, and in adverse temperatures and weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds, floor to waist.
